Jobs are like buses...

No sooner have we unpacked our boxes, then we are beginning to wonder what we will need to take, what we can leave and where, and how on earth we get everything from Potters Bar to Florence.

We've been in Potters Bar for 7 weeks, and I've been working with the 3 churches for just 4 weeks, but the opportunity to work with the Methodist Church in Florence has already called us to discover not just a new place, but a new culture, work, history and language. I can only say that I feel very blessed to be in this Circuit for this year and very sad that it is likely we will be leaving after such a short time, but very excited by all the challenges and discoveries that we hope Florence will bring.

Nothing is settled yet - we've both got to have medical and psychological tests (oh dear!) and all my references need to be in before the appointment can be confirmed, but I've told the churches (with a lot of help from very supportive stewards) and put it on facebook (so it must be true!). There are lots of questions and hopefully answers will be provided in the next few months. In the meantime, there's plenty to do here in PB, Shenley & Radlett.
